When equipping a climbing route safety should be the first word to think about. This is why not every wall is suitable for this kind of activity.
First of all, we needed to make sure that it is not a friable one, by inspecting it from the distance. Then, for a closer view, we belayed from above to see how it really looks. An important aspect is cleaning the potential danger (unstable blocks) away, after we made sure that the entire area is cleared.
Only after all these steps were carried out we can think of bolting. This requires a hammer drill and a lot of climbing equipment. After several hours, while all the bolts have been fixed, we can finally test the routes. Check the photos below for a better view of the entire process.
During this day we have been stung 4 times by wasps and we have seen a bat in a rock fissure.
