It was carried out at the Red Cross Play Centre in Logroño (La Rioja) with a group of children of different ages.

We started by introducing ourselves and the Quarry Networking project, and then we began the first game. This first game helped us to explain what an ecosystem is and the importance of all its elements and the connections between them.

Afterwards, we focused on a very important but little known group of animals for many people: the insects. We played another game with images of different bugs while we explained curiosities about them and their importance in the natural environment.

The last part of the activity was the construction of the insect hotels. They were built with recycled material and elements from the natural environment such as bark, sticks, pine cones... Then a metal mesh was placed at the front and the children decorated the outside of the hotels with drawings.

We had a very great time!
